SUSIE (CARLSON) PETTEWAY | Certified Shiatsu & Massage Therapist
For over 15 years I've studied the body through various paths which include dance, butoh, alexander technique, yoga, and qigong practices. This interest eventually led me to pursue schooling for Shiatsu and Massage. It is my passion to share the powerful experience of bodywork with others so they may discover the wealth of benefits available through this work.
I opened my practice in the Spring of 2010. Since then I’ve worked with a wide range of clients ranging from very young to very old. Some people come in for pain management while others come because of their interest in preventative care. I’ve worked with chronic pain, stress, musculoskeletal injuries, headaches, migraines, chronic fatigue, digestive problems, sleep troubles and more. No two people are the same, and no two treatments are the same. What's important is finding out what works best for you.
I am passionate about working to support you in a physically tangible way, by providing bodywork as a path to a greater awareness of your body. I am also passionate about alleviating pain. Many times seemingly unrelated parts of the body will share symptoms or reveal their relationship through the course of a full body session, that is why I believe a full body approach is so important.
I would love to talk to you! Contact me with any questions or to discuss how I might help you.
